EFI Harness

Product Overview

This EFI harness is a custom cable assembly that wires an electronic fuel injection system - injectors, ignition coils, sensors and the ECU - on V8 and V6 engine conversions, restomod builds and replacement installations.

Existing builds include the universal V8 MPFI harness kit (EFI-U-V8), the USCAR EV6 LS style injector harness (EFI-U-V6) and the 60102 fuel injection wiring harness (EFI-60102).

Wire gauge is sized per circuit current, and the harness is laid out on the drawing before production. Cactus Electronics has built automotive harnesses since 2009, to IPC/WHMA-A-620, with 100 % electrical testing before shipment.

Cactus Electronics: Professional Automotive EFI Harnesses
As a core part of automotive fuel supply and power control, the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system relies on EFI harnesses—its “neural network”—for accurate operation. With deep expertise in automotive electronic connectivity, Cactus Electronics specializes in designing, developing, producing, and customizing automotive EFI harnesses, covering all wiring assemblies for EFI systems. We deliver stable connections for diverse vehicle EFI setups, enabling precise fuel control, optimized combustion, and maximum engine performance.
Full Range + Professional Design for EFI Needs
Our EFI harnesses outperform standard automotive wiring with professional construction:
  • Precise gauge sizing for specific current demands (prevents overload/loss);
  • Comprehensive shielding to block electromagnetic interference (protects sensor signals);
  • Sealed gold-plated terminal connectors (ensures stability in harsh engine environments: high temps, oil, vibration).
We offer a complete EFI harness lineup:
  • Main Harnesses: Core backbone linking ECU to sensors/actuators;
  • Injector Harnesses: Ensures accurate fuel injection control;
  • Ignition Harnesses: Optimizes spark management for efficiency;
  • Advanced Harnesses: Drive-By-Wire (electronic throttle), Transmission Control, and Auxiliary (expanded functions);
  • Support Parts: Individual Connectors (custom/repair) and specialized Other Harnesses.
Our low-impedance, anti-interference harnesses sync EFI system data/commands seamlessly, avoiding issues like rough idling, high fuel use, or weak power. We also provide flexible customization—tailoring wire core material (high-purity copper), insulation temp resistance (-40℃ to 125℃), connector pins, and routing to match your EFI specs. Organized, labeled connections simplify installation and troubleshooting.
Certifications + 100% Inspection: Zero Defects Guaranteed
Quality is our priority—electrical issues are a top EFI failure cause, and our professional-grade harnesses mitigate this risk. They hold global certifications:
  • ISO 9001: Standardized quality control from sourcing (premium materials, gold-plated terminals) to production (automated equipment) and testing;
  • IATF 16949: Meets automotive standards (vibration/EMI/aging resistance);
  • UL: Passes safety tests (electrical performance, flame retardancy) to prevent hazards.
Every harness undergoes 100% post-production inspection (continuity, insulation, voltage drop, appearance checks). Only passing units are shipped, ensuring zero defects and reducing your maintenance/after-sales costs.

Certification

Cactus Electronics is certified to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and UL and manufactures to the IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standard. Raw materials comply with RoHS. Every assembly passes 100 % electrical testing - continuity, insulation resistance and withstand voltage - before packing, and the QC-to-production personnel ratio is 1:3.

FAQ

What is the operating temperature rating of this harness?

Standard PVC-insulated assemblies are rated to 80 °C; XLPE or TPE insulation raises the rating to 105 °C. Sections routed near the exhaust or turbo are quoted with XLPE insulation plus fibreglass or silica sleeving; the rest of the loom uses PVC. The exact operating range for a part number is stated on its drawing and confirmed in the sample test report.

Is this overmolded harness waterproof?

EFI harnesses run inside the engine bay and are not sealed as a whole. Individual connectors can be supplied with sealed OEM-style boots and grommets, and the ECU end can be overmolded. The ingress protection level (typically IP67 for a mated pair) is specified on the drawing and verified during sample validation. Non-overmolded assemblies can be supplied with heat-shrink or grommet sealing instead.

Can I customize the pinout and connector type?

Yes. Pinout, connector series and gender, cable length, wire gauge, jacket colour and overmold shape are all customer-defined. Every circuit is defined by the ECU pinout you supply, so the loom is built for one specific ECU model and sensor package. Send a drawing, a sample, or a pinout table and we return a 2D/3D drawing prepared to IPC/WHMA-A-620 for approval before tooling.

What is your MOQ for custom cable?

MOQ is confirmed per project and depends on harness complexity, connector cost and tooling. Prototype and pilot batches are accepted before mass production, so a new programme can start with sample quantities. Samples are produced in 3–7 working days and mass production runs 20–30 days after approval.

What testing standards do you apply for harness?

Production follows IPC/WHMA-A-620. Every assembly is 100 % electrically tested for continuity, insulation resistance and withstand voltage; the in-house lab adds temperature and humidity cycling, salt spray, connector insertion and withdrawal force, and cable bending tests. Inspection records are kept in the ERP system.
